The Navyline zinc shaft anode with metric thread protects the more precious metal parts of the underwater hull from electrochemical corrosion. The anode is mounted on the shaft end of the propeller shaft, with an integrated seat for an open-end spanner. The less noble zinc sacrifices itself for the more noble metals such as the propeller, drive shaft or through-hull passage and thus protects them from electrochemical corrosion. As a rule, the anode must be replaced annually during winter storage, or several times a year in the event of very severe degradation.
