Osculati, Inspection Maintenance Automatic Lifejackets

Inspection & maintenance of Osculati automatic lifejackets with release systems from UML (United Moulders), HR (Halkey Roberts) or Hammar MA1. The inspection of inflatable automatic lifejackets should be carried out at least every 2 years for recreational use and annually for professional use (regulations according to DIN EN ISO 12402 Part 1-10, IMO/SOLAS 74, DGUV specifications). Our maintenance package includes the following services:

• Inspection of the float, strapping and outer shell as well as all seams and fittings for damage and wear
• Pressure and leak test of the inflated float, at least 16 hours
• Checking the automatic release and manual release
• Check the release unit (cartridge, bobbin), replace if necessary
• Checking the CO2 cartridge for corrosion and weight, replacement if necessary
• Replacement of all seals including material costs
• Functional check of the inflation and deflation mouth valve and the pressure relief valve
• Renewal of the service sticker
• Proper packing of the waistcoat

Plus costs for spare parts if necessary:

• Release unit (cartridge, bobbin, MA1 sensor)
• CO2 gas cartridge
• Repair or extension of the harness, cover, accessories
• Replacement or retrofitting of LED light

Maintenance procedure b.z.w. Repair:
1. you download the maintenance order and send it to us with your lifejacket.

2. we check the waistcoat and carry out the necessary tests and maintenance work. if additional material costs for spare parts or repairs are necessary, we will contact you before the maintenance, as the costs for major repairs can exceed the new price of a waistcoat.

4. we will return the ready-to-use lifejacket to you together with the maintenance certificate and repair invoice.
