The Ocean Signal Rescue emergency beacon PLB rescueMe MOB 2, AIS & DSC is a compact emergency transmitter according to AIS Class M standard (Regulation: ECC/DEC/(22)02) with integrated GPS receiver for use at sea. The MOB2 is attached to the lifejacket or sailing jacket and is activated automatically when the automatic lifejacket is inflated or alternatively by hand. The alarm is triggered within 15 seconds of activation via AIS, DSC and the integrated strobe light. Further details:
- AIS (Automatic Identification System) range approx. 5 nm, display on AIS devices and chart plotters with AIS function
- Integrated DSC transmitter and receiver for sending a DSC alarm (Digital Selective Calling) to DSC-compatible radio systems and receiving the acknowledgement.
- Factory-programmed unique, unchangeable device MMSI (starts with 97260) for the DSC function for individual identification of the PLB. The ship's MMSI can also be programmed as an option.
- Easy integration into the lifejacket due to very compact dimensions
