Volvo Penta zinc anode ring VO AQ 280 and 290 a ring anode for the motor base, protects against electrochemical corrosion. As a material for sacrificial anodes, zinc is particularly suitable for salt water and brackish water, aluminium and magnesium are preferred for fresh water.
