The perforated Talamex hull anode type Vetus made of zinc protects the metal parts of the underwater hull or the propulsion system of ships from electrochemical corrosion as a sacrificial anode. The less noble zinc sacrifices itself especially in seawater for the more noble metals such as the ship's propeller, drive shaft or sea valves and thus protects them from pitting. This sacrificial anode can be fitted using screws, bolts or rivets. As a rule, the anode must be replaced annually during winter storage, or twice a year in the case of very severe degradation. Material: Zinc, for fresh water and brackish water we recommend anodes made of aluminium or magnesium.
