With the patented One Touch safety mechanism, Lewmar offers a modernly designed, robust winch handle that can be operated with one hand for easy insertion and removal on the winch. To insert the winch handle, simply grasp the arm of the handle, squeeze it together and open the safety catch. To remove it, simply grasp the crank arm again, press it together, open the safety mechanism again and pull the crank off. This is real one-handed operation - the second hand remains free to hold the sheet or to hold on to it - which is also a plus in terms of safety.
