Oleu, MOB rescue and recovery sail Pickup Sail

The MOB recovery sail Pickup Sail from Oleu is used for the fast, energy-saving and safe recovery of people who have fallen overboard and can therefore save lives! With this rescue aid, one person alone can bring a person of any weight safely back on board. Particularly important: the person remains in a lying position until the end of the rescue so that in the event of severe hypothermia, circulatory failure, which is possible during uprighting or vertical rescue, is avoided. Named by the Federal Bureau of Maritime Casualty Investigation as useful equipment for sea-going yachts! Function:

1. the rescue sail packed in a bag is fastened alongside around reeling stanchions or cleats with the integrated strap
2. a halyard is attached to the head of the topsail, the bag is opened and the sail is lowered into the water
3. the sail sinks under its own weight and the person can swim over it or be pulled by lines or boat hooks
4. the sail can now be pulled tight using a winch; the person lies securely in the sail due to their own weight and cannot slip out.
5. the person is winched up to the height of the side deck and can be rescued under the railing
